Abstract

Sintering iron and other ores with fine grain coal refuse containing alumina and less than 30 per cent of fuel by means of a sintering plant of the suction type in such a way that the fuel in the coal refuse generates all the heat required for the process whilst the residue forms with the ore an alumina, bearing sinter suitable for use as a blast furnace charge.
