Abstract
1510596 Blast furnace operation MOLTEN METAL ENG CO 6 Feb 1976 04729/76 Heading C7D In a blast furnace process wherein the charge has an alkali metal content exceeding 11b per ton of molten iron there is also included in the charge 0À1 to 10% of olivine based on the weight of the iron oxide materials. The olivine may be charged independently or may be incorporated in agglomerates with either the ore or the coke; it may be mixed with fine ore prior to sintering, or the mixture may be subjected to pre-reduction prior to sintering. The agglomerate may contain 0À1-15% of olivine.
