Abstract
668,105. Shoe Insoles. SHERBROOK, V. A. Jan. 6, 1950, No. 425/50. Class 17 (ii). An insole blank is cut to normal size at shank and heel end i.e. to dotted line 10, Fig. 2, but smaller at the forepart, i.e. to line 12, than last corresponding to the shoe for which insole is required, and a sewing rib e.g. by a separate tape 32, Fig. 1, is formed at the extreme edge of the forepart and shank. The thickness of the blank at the forepart is reduced or a thin forepart section may be spliced to a thicker waist and heel portion. A cover applied to the inner face of the insole may be turned up over the edges and secured to the sewing rib to reinforce it.
