A pneumatic tyre, stated to be particularly applicable for use on cultivators and tractors, is formed with a tread comprising oblique transverse ribs 3 extending across the full width of the tyre 1 and connected at their converging ends by short bars 7 to provide open V-shaped recesses 8 which, preferably, increase in depth towards the open ends.
