Abstract

683,112. Pneumatic tyres. UNITED STATES RUBBER CO. April 30, 1951 [July 14, 1950], No. 10066/51. Class 144 (ii). To restrict entry or retention of stones &c. the side-walls of tread grooves 13 in a pneumatic tyre are formed with facing projections 16 and recesses 20, the projections being located in the lower parts of the grooves. As shown, the mouths of the grooves have flaring sides 14, 17 and base-portions 22 of increased width. Specification 459,835 is referred to.
