665,741. Cycle saddles. MINISTRY OF SUPPLY. Nov. 29, 1949 [Nov. 10, 1948], No. 29262/48. Class 136(iii) [Also in Group XXXII] In the application of a spring assembly (see Group XXXII) to a cycle-saddle mounting, a cantilever spring 1, supporting a saddle (not shown) is connected through an adjustable coupling device to a " sine spring " 2. Both springs are mounted on the vehicle frame, the "sine spring 2 2 being clamped in two adjustable anchorages 4, 5. The coupling device comprises screwed members 8, 9 having threads of different pitch which engage a nut 10, the arrangement being such, that with load on the saddle, the nut 10 is adjusted so that the "sine spring lies with its centre point in line with the anchorages 4, 5.
