Abstract
663,682. Optical systems. CHRISTIANI, L. Oct. 15, 1949 [Oct. 16, 1948], No. 26528. Class 97 (i) The optical system of Specification 662,803 for producing four images, forming two stereoscopic colour component pairs is modified by the substitution, for the pyramidal prism and a single objective, of four objectives for the final image formation. As shown, pairs of reflectors 3, 3<SP>1</SP> in front of an objective 1, dividing the entrance pupil thereof and causing left- and right-eye stereoscopic images to be formed in superposition in the aperture 2<SP>1</SP> in a diaphragm 2. A field lens 4 and an objective 5 together have a principal focal plane at the diaphragm. and, accordingly, parallel light falls on the four objectives 6 0 <SP>1</SP>, 6 0 <SP>11</SP>, 6 0 <SP>111</SP>, 6 0 <SP>IV</SP>, which form four images at 9 in a normal film frame space. Each objective is associated with a colour filter at 7, the pairs of filters passing the light beams from the original stereoscopic images being complementary.
