Abstract

662,787. Cycle brakes. MONITOR BRAKE CO., Ltd., and TOVEY, W. March 8, 1950 [March 8, 1949; March 8, 19501, Nos. 6231/49 and 5827/50. Class 136(i) In a combined brake-block holder and stabilizer link one enc of the link 25 is pivoted to the holder 11 to become a permanent part thereof, and the other end of the link has a hook 27 to engage a fork blade 28. A calliper brake is provided at the brake - block ends of its levers 1, 2 with slotted lugs 8 as described ir Specification 662,788. As shown in Fig. 2 a part of the holder 11 is pierced and raised into a pair of lugs 30 having axial holes for a pivot pin 32 connected to the eyed end 26 of the stabilizing link 25. In a modification shown in Fig. 4, a plunged hole 33 is formed in the holder 11 and houses a spherical head 34 of the link 25. The holder 11 has an integral fork 34a to receive the shank of the link 25. The hooks 27 are sleeved with rubber to prevent the forks 28 being moved.
