Class 103(vi) An axle truck has axle-hung motors 22 having nose portions 23 supported on cross members 24 spring mounted on cross yokes 26 which engage fore-and-aft extending equalizers 27 pivoted at 28 to the truck frame. The ends of the equalisers 27 are connected by links 29 to one end of the leaf spring arrangements 30. With this arrangement the turning moment exerted by the motors is balanced by an increased downward force on the axle boxes and wheels thereby preventing slip.
