Abstract
662,655. Signalling over power lines. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. (Nederlandsche Standard Electric Maatschappij, N.V.). Feb. 4, 1949, No. 3133/49. Class 40 (iv). In a circuit arrangement for transmitting D.C. impulses over A.C. mains, the D.C. signalling current is applied across a counter E.M.F. battery having a voltage equal to the signalling voltage. Fig. 2 shows a rectifier arrangement for applying a signalling potential to the neutral point 2 of a 3-phase system across the cells 9. A known manner of applying an impulse across a series resistance is described with reference to Fig. 1 (not shown).
