Abstract

[Also in Division H2] The circuit comprising saturable inductor SR and impedance Z determines whether the time integral of the voltage E L across the load resistor R L is greater or less than that of the reference generator G. The thyristor TH is turned off by the comparison circuit, so that pulsating current from the D.C. source V is applied across the load R L . If the reference voltage is alternating the load voltage will follow the positive halfcycles. The Specification states that two circuits may be combined to give an alternating output.
