662,506. Centrifugal separators. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. July 31, 1950. [July 29, 1949] No. 19945/49. Class 23. A rotating bowl 1 in a hydro-extractor, is provided with balancing means comprising a flexible chamber 6, containing fluid, and supported by an external rigid wall of a bowl 4. The extractor bowl 1 is flexibly mounted at 3 at or near its driving shaft 5 and if it cants over at an angle to the shaft it squeezes the chamber 6 to displace liquid to the diametrically-opposite side of the bowl 1 and thus sets up a balancing movement.
