Abstract

662,279. Angular bending. BRIGGS MOTOR BODIES, Ltd., and BUCKNALL, C. G. June 10, 1949, No. 15562/49. Addition to 626,805. Class 83 (iv). In a bending-machine as set forth in the parent Specification the work support is mounted on a sub-table adjusted vertically by a wedge operated by screw means to align the work support with the bending blade. The clamping blade 21, operated by toggle links 23, 24 by fluid-pressure means through a link 26 is locked in clamping position by a spring plunger 33 engaging a recess on a clamp 21. After a predetermined rotation of the bending blade an adjustable cam 36 actuates a rod 35 to release the plunger and the fluid pressure means continues the movement of the link 26 to raise the clamp.
