In a liquid fuel combus, tion chamber comprising cylindrical sheet metal sections a, b, the end of the section a has formed on it an expanded end portion c which is inserted in and fits closely the adjacent end of the section b. Two parallel, circumferential rows of slots d, e disposed in staggered relationship, are formed close to the expanded end portion c and the parts between the slots are pressed outwardly to form shallow corrugations f which constitute air inlet passages g.
