659,046. Locking nuts. SACHSE, W. H. O. Nov. 30, 1949, Nos. 30675 and 30676. Convention dates, Dec. 11, 1948. [Class 89(i)] Spring washers for locking nuts are made from stock having in cross section an outer part 3 with parallel upper and lower surfaces and an inner part 2 tapering or otherwise reduced from these surfaces. The ends may be formed to interlock and they may be welded. In any case the formation is such that digging-in is avoided. The washer is deformed to saddle shape as shown or may be of twisted formation. In a modification the washer has more than one turn.
