Abstract

658,829. Indicators for switches. RHEOSTATIC CO., Ltd. June 16, 1949, No. 16099.- [Class 38(v)] An illuminated indicator for a switch such as an oven thermostat, comprises an opaque canopy 1 having a clip 4 for holding a lamp 2, light from which is visible through a window 5 adjacent a cut-away portion. The canopy 1 is mounted on tongues 15 on backplate 6 on the cooker plate 10 and held in place by the knob 7, whereby light is reflected from the plate 6 to signify closure of the thermostat. The spindle 8 is connected to the thermostat adjusting screw through a coupling 14, and the lamp 2 is connected across a shunt 13.
