619,842. Indicators for switches. RADIO GRAMOPHONE DEVELOPMENT CO., Ltd., and PARKINSON, W. R. Dec. 31, 1946, No. 38170. [Class 38 (v)] A control knob 1 of translucent material such as polymerized methyl-methacrylate has indicating marks at or near its outer end 3 which are illuminated one at a time by a narrow beam of light transmitted through the knob by a lamp 11 shining through a small aperture 9 behind the knob. Some light also passes through the flange 4, so that the marks are illuminated internally and externally. The knob may be ribbed to form channels for the beam of light, and may be set in a recess in a panel to partly shield it from external light.
