Abstract

706,620. Switch handles; indicators for switches. SIMPLEX ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Sept. 26, 1951 [Aug. 25, 1950], No. 21032/50. Class 38(5) [Also in Groups XXIV and XXIX] A control knob, e.g. for a switch, comprises two parts 10, 16 secured together temporarily by screws 27 or permanently by cement, both parts carrying markings, those on part 10 indicating the nature of the device, and those on part 16 the angular setting of the device. The part 16 has the markings 17 on a conical surface thereof and the part 10 has an insert 11. which as shown is shaped like a pointer and may be of a different colour to the part 10, which may itself be of a different colour to the part 16. The parts 10, 16 are angularly located relatively to one another by a lug on part 16 engaging a recess in part 10, Fig. 4, (not shown). Either or both of the parts may be a plastic moulding.
