757,197. Securing knobs to shafts. RHEOSTATIC CO., Ltd. Dec. 15, 1954, No. 36341/54. Class 80(2) [Also in Group XXXVII] The knob of a thermostat, switch or the like is adapted to be fitted 'to an operating arbor 8 so that a fiduciary index mark ("off" for example), on the knob may apply to any one of several positions 3, 4, 5, 6 on the switch. The arbour carries lugs 13 one of which is dimensionally different from the others. The underside of the knob is recessed to take this lug in any one of several positions and is covered by a mask formed to take this lug in one position only 23. The disposition of the mask on the knob locates the knob so that the fiduciary mark may point in the required direction.
