658,630. Clips for laminated springs. CARY, Ltd., W. E., and DIXON, R. Dec. 3, 1948, No. 31343. [Class 108 (iii)] A clip for a laminated spring comprises a strip of flat metal a which is shaped to have complementary interlocking ends a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP> which when the strip is bent closely around the spring, interlock to resist tensional stresses tending to force the ends of the clip apart, the clip being secured to one outer lamination of the spring by means of a rivet b or the like and the interlocking parts lying wholly on the other outer lamination. The interlocking ends may be made to follow a slightly concave contour of the adjacent lamination.
