Abstract

286,185. General Acoustics, Ltd., (Dictograph Products Corporation). Nov. 4, 1927. Head-sets.-A head-band 4 is connected to a telephone receiver 2 by means of a flat arcuate spring member 6, which is connected to the band by a swivel joint 5 and is adapted to engage in a groove 3 in the rim 1 of the receiver. The member 5. which is preferably formed from a metal blank of the shape shown in Fig. 8, has the back plate 7 secured tc the band 4 by a pin 8 passing through the hole 9, a pivot pin 11 on the spring member 6 being passed through holes 12 in the parallel spaced long and short lugs 15, 14. The tongues 17, Fig. 8, are bent round the edges of the band 4. the semi-circular cut-away portions 18 coming together to grip the pin 8. Clearance spaces 19 are left between the tongues 17 and band 4, as shown in Fig. 7, so as to allow of limited angular movement of the receiver in its own plane.
