[Class 104 (ii)] A floor-truck conveyer system comprises an overhead powerdriven member carrying a bracket 16 which engages the upper end 23 of a mast 21 carried by a rigid mounting on the floor-truck 19. The overhead part of the system comprises an I-sectioned rail 10 carrying a suspended pair of conventional trolleys 13 supporting a spacing - member 15 with the bracket 16 and a pivoted dog 17 on its underside. The trolleys 13 are engaged and driven in known manner by a power-driven chain 14. A lower track directly below and parallel with the track 10 consists of a pair of oppositely-directed channel members 11 supported by yokes 12 at intervals along their length, the channels forming a guide and lateral supports for a wheel 22 journalled on the truck mast just below its upper end. The end of the mast is thus held in the aligned position for engagement with the driving bracket 16, and the truck, which has freely swivelled front wheels 24, is steered accordingly. A stabilizing arm 25, rigidly connected to a sleeve 26 which is positioned on the mast by a fixed collar 27, carries a horizontal bearing for the axles of a pair of small wheels 30 which travel within the channels 11. The mast 21 is made in telescopic sections with a bayonetjoint connection formed with a long vertical slot whereby the upper section may be lowered into an inoperative position, the lower flanges of the channels 11 being gapped at intervals to allow the wheels 22 and 30 to be lowered therethrough. Alternatively the lower flanges of the channels may be removed completely.
