Abstract

655,333. Calendars. STEELE, T. H. Sept. 16, 1948, No. 24339. [Class 106 (iv)] A face-plate L is apertured to display the name of the month, inscribed on a rotatable disc A, and the date numbers, which are inscribed on two pivoted sectors B, C mounted between the disc and the face-plate L. The front sector C bears numbers for the first 28 days and is apertured to display any or all of the numbers 29- 31 inscribed on the rear sector B. Projections D, E on the disc are so disposed that the sectors B, C are engaged thereby and rotated to the requisite extent as the disc is turned to bring the name of the month into register with the aperture P. On further rotation of the disc the projections move clear of the sectors, which have a longer radius, and these are rotated anticlockwise by springs to an extent determined by slots I therein, ready for engagement with the next pair of projections. The disc, or an outer annulus thereof bearing the projections and month indications, can be replaceable. Additional display apertures J, K can also be provided.
