Drawings to Specification. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (i)] A camera for photographing a screen surface, particularly the fluorescent screen of an X-ray apparatus, or a projector for projecting upon a screen surface, comprises in combination with the screen an optical system including a concave mirror and an element correcting the spherical aberration of the mirror but not the curvature of the image, and an image support for a eamera or an object support for a projector which is convex towards the mirror, the screen being convex towards the mirror and optically conjugate with said support. Preferably the support and screen are substantially cylindrical with their respective generatrices at right angles to each other.
