Abstract

1,026,870. Cine apparatus; panoramic photography. A.ADEGBOYE. Sept. 7, 1964 [June 6 1963], No. 22517/63. Heading G2E. A panoramic cine camera or projector is operated with the optical axis vertical and coaxial with a reflecting cone whereby the zone covered by the camera a projector lens extends for a full 360 degrees about said axis. The camera may be directed downwardly or upwardly as in Fig. 2, towards cone 5 which is supported above the camera on transparent cylinder 9, and a diverging correcting lens 6 mounted above the camera lens or housing 8. The film made using this system is projected by means of a normal cine projector 49 mounted to the same way as the camera, when a 360 degrees image is projected on to a surrounding cylindrical screen 46 as in Fig. 9. The projection room is above the cinema ceiling 54 and is ventilated by fan 50. The cone may be concave or convex conical or even hemispherical. The projector lens may be torroidal in form.
