Abstract

Zirconium-ammonium carbonate is obtained by adding crystals of zirconium sulphate to a solution of ammonium carbonate which may contain ammonium hydroxide. Zirconiumammonium or -sodium carbonate may be obtained by precipitating zirconium carbonate from a solution of ammonium or sodium carbonate by adding a solution of zirconium oxychloride, washing and filtering the precipitate and adding to it ammonium or sodium carbonate.
