Abstract

652,083. Variable-pitch propellers. LET, LETECKE ZAVODY, NARODNI PODNIK, and JINDRICH, J. Dec. 13, 1948, No. 32165. Convention date, Dec. 15, 1947. [Class 114] The angular position of the blades 19 is adjusted by the racks 9 engaging the blade root pinions 12. The racks are moved axially by the ring 8 which, through the ball-bearings 7, is adjusted by the nut 5 when the sleeve 2 is rotated by the gear 1 turned by the control device. The racks are pivotally connected to the ring 8 by screws 20 and are received in adjustable tapering guides 10. The blade root pinions are screwed on to the blade root and secure in place the blade root ball or roller thrust bearings.
