651,586. Floor slabs. AMBROSE, J. G. and MATHEWS, C. B. July 20, 1949. No. 20136/48. [Class 20(iv)] A hollow concrete floor slab 1 has a nailing strip 3 of wood or other nailing material incorporated in its bottom wall or soffit 2 during the casting operation, the strip being of the same thickness as the soffit so that it forms an integral part of the soffit with its top and bottom surfaces flush with the top and bottom surfaces of the soffit. If the strip is of wood or preformed material its edges 4 are roughened or grooved, and if it is initially plastic it is placed in position in a plastic condition at the same time as the concrete surrounding it.
