648,629. Floors; flooring blocks; wall coverings. HITCHINS, W. G. April 19, 1948, No. 10808. [Classes 20(iv) and 87(i)] A floor or wall covering comprises slabs made up of wood slats 1 and a backing 2 of concrete &c. preferably of wood chippings and cement. A triangular recess 3 at the corners of the backing provides accommodation for a square piece 4 preferably of timber which is stuck to the backing and under face of the slats to prevent rising at the corners.
