[Class 80(i)] A belt fastener for industrial belts comprises clamps 14, 15, fixed on the belt ends 10, 11, by wedge-shaped nails 26, 27, and having passages accommodating selflubricating bearing blocks 28, 29, supporting a connecting linkage 35, 36, 37, 44. Washers 42, 43, are provided and the linkage is held in position by a split spring clip 45.
