807,726. Stud-and-socket fasteners; locking bolt-like pins. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. Jan. 10, 1957 [Feb. 9, 1956]. No. 4138/56. Classes 44 and 89(1) A fastener-device for engagement with a stud 9, Fig. 2, &c. for securing an article b to an apertured-support a, comprises spaced U-shaped parts 3, 4, Fig. 4 providing a parallel-sided slot 3a between the bases, for gripping the stud. Adjacent arms 1, 2 and 1a, 2a of said parts are interconnected by flanges 5, 6, and the device is passed through the aperture in support to engage the support between the flanges and bent-out-tabs 7, 8. The stud may be integral with the article, e.g. a trim-moulding, name-plate or badge for a motor-vehicle, refrigerator &c.
