Abstract
In a process of making a dual bonded carbide material, a paste of tungsten carbide powder, with additions of titanium carbide or tantalum, is mixed with an iron group metal and water, starch or glycerine and is extruded, sintered and crushed to a powder which is then mixed with a secondary binder such as copper, brass, bronze, silver or an alloy such as one comprising 50 per cent silver, 15.5 per cent copper, 16.5 per cent zinc and 18 per cent cadmium. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 596,626.
