Abstract

650,183. Bobbin holders for textile winding &c. machines. BRITISH CELANESE, Ltd. May 20, 1948, No. 13715. Convention date, May 28, 1947. [Class 120(ii)] An arbor for supporting a yarn package comprises a tubular body 6 having longitudinal slots 13 through which bars 14 extend radially, the bars being resiliently mounted in grooves 9 in end spiders 8. Springs 12 contained in recesses 11 at the base of each groove may be employed to urge the bars 14 through the slots. Strips 17 of felt, or other resilient material, may be held in slots in the arms 14. Outward movement of the bars is limited by projections 15. Trunnion pins 21, 27 mounted in the spiders 8 hold in position end discs 19, 26, which may be made of any suitable material, such as hard compressed fibre.
