Abstract
649,340. Air and water heating stoves. RADIATION, Ltd. Dec. 18, 1947, No. 33399. [Class 64(i)] Water, and air for space heating, are heated, for use in buildings, in a heat insulating cabinet a containing a solid fuel stove b with a heat transmitter c, e.g. a serpentine flue, for the combustion products which flow therethrough in a zig-zag manner to an outlet i. Futhermore, air flows through the cabinet around the stove and heat transmitter, e.g. driven by a fan j, and a water tank n is arranged alongside and separate from the stove and transmitter to be heated by the radiation therefrom and by the hot air. Some of the cold air from the fan is directed along a passage o to a distributing duct k where the relative proportions of air flowing over the heat transmitter and along the passage are controlled by a damper m. A thermostat controls the supply of combustion air which passes downwardly through the fuel on the fire bars d to consume smoke. Specification 622,011 is referred to.
