Abstract

648,460. Spray pumps. HILL, S. D. Jan. 27, 1948, No. 2383. [Class 102(i)] [Also in Group XXIX] A spray pump comprises as a single member wherein the same body of metal has as integral parts a cap 10, adapted to fit the neck of a bottle 14, a pump cylinder 15, projecting into the bottle, and a handle 58, extending radially from the cap. The cylinder has a tube 20 fitted with a suction valve 21 and a valved piston is connected to a delivery tube 26 fitted with a spray nozzle 42 (see Group XXIX). A sleeve 37 is sweated to the tube 26 and forms an abutment for a spring 38, the other abutment being formed by a thimble 39 pressed in the end of the cylinder. A forked lever 65 embraces the tube and engages the sleeve 37 and is pivoted at 63 to reciprocate the tube.
