Abstract
648,134. Shower baths. THORNTON, A. A. (Bradley Washfountain Co.). Nov. 30, 1948, No. 31028. [Class 26] A shower bath is formed with a number of separate compartments and comprises a central standard 6, a number of peripheral uprights 7, a partition 12 arranged between the standard 6 and each upright 7 and means for bracing the uprights 7 to each other and to the central standard 6. The standard 6 has a fitting 20 through which project pipes 16 having a spray 19 for each compartment, the pipes 16 connecting to a chamber 15 for mixing hot and cold water. The circumferential braces 26 between adjacent pairs of uprights telescope within each other at their ends where they pass through openings in the uprights 7 and the radial braces 23 also pass into other openings 25, a pin 29 serving to lock the circumferential and the radial braces, the inner ends of the radial braces being secured to the central fitting 20 by a nut 34 which by drawing the brace 23 towards the centre deforms the pin 29 as shown and prevents its undesirable withdrawal.
