[Class 19] A tooth brush comprises, as an integral unit, a handle portion having a bristle-holding portion at the outer end thereof made from yieldable material and including a plurality of bristle-holding sections spaced apart longitudinally and connected together by one or more collars of reduced cross section and extending between adjacent bristle sections and between the innermost section and the handle, whereby said handle and sections are relatively yieldable, and a resilient and flexible member within the handle portion adjacent the bristle-holding sections and extending through said collars and bristle sections so as to be concealed thereby. In the Figs., the flexible member comprises a spring- like member 12 extending from the handle 2 through the sections 6 and connecting collars 8. The portions of the member 12 may be connected at their inner and outer ends as shown. The member 12 may be made from resilient or yieldable wire and is preformed so as to be mouldable in the tooth brush, the latter being moulded from plastic material which is somewhat yieldable or flexible when set. The member 12 is preferably curved longitudinally so that the brush sections are normally held as in Fig. 2. A single collar may be used between each pair of adjacent brush sections.
