Abstract
An alloy capable of being sealed into glass consists of iron with approximately 42 per cent of nickel and from 4 per cent to 8 per cent of chromium. Manganese up to 0.25 per cent may be present. Alloys containing 42 per cent of nickel, 8 per cent to 12 per cent of chromium and the balance iron, and 42 per cent of nickel and 58 per cent iron are referred to. Specifications 516,110, 516,111, [both in Group XL], and 647,256 are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes an alloy comprising from 38 per cent to 45 per cent of nickel, 3 per cent to 15 per cent of chromium, the balance being iron. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
