[Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group XVIII] A measuring and feeding device for dry concrete aggregate comprises a rotor having an annular series of measuring pockets revolvable within a casing, a material supply hopper carried by said casing and being communicable with the successive revolving pockets of said rotor, a resilient sealing disc interposed between said hopper and one end of said rotor, another resilient sealing disc interposed between said casing and the opposite end of said rotor, and a removable or renewable wear plate secured to each of said rotor ends and slidably engaging the adjacent sealing disc. Dry cement aggregate from a supply hopper 11 falls through apertures 45 in the hopper base into measuring chambers 31 of a vertical axis rotor 13 which carries the material round to the opposite side of a casing 20 surrounding the rotor where it is discharged from the measuring chambers 31, by compressed air from a duct 59, through an opening in the base of the rotor casing 20 to a pocketed horizontal-axis rubber feed rotor 12 from which it is blown by compressed air, from a duct 75, into a pipe 80 adapted to be connected to a cement gun. The opening in the base of the measuring rotor casing 20, the casing for the rotor 12 and the pipe 80 may be rubber-lined. The measuring rotor 13 has wear plates 65, 66 fixed to its upper and lower ends which co-operate with, respectively, a rubber sealing disc 60 attached to the base of the hopper and a similar rubber sealing disc 67 attached to the base of the rotor casing 20. The hopper 11 is pivotally mounted at 47, in a cradle ring 48, itself pivotally mounted at 50, 53 to the top of the rotor casing 20, the whole being screwed down on to the rotor casing by a thumb nut 57.
