645,842. Containers for dispensing liquids. METAL BOX CO., Ltd., BENNETT, H. J., and BENNETT, J. M. July 18, 1947, No. 19333. [Class 66] A dispensing container or can e.g. for filling cigarette-lighters has a plug 16 with a small pouring nozzle or outlet 20 in a flanged filling opening in the neck 10 of the container, and a screw-cap 21 bearing against the plug 16 to seal the container. The plug 16 may be of natural rubber or like synthetic material, or it may be rigid and make sealing contact with a compressible wad inside the top of the cap. The cap may be flat, or domed, or coned to fit the plug 16. The base 31 of the can may be pressed to squirt liquid through the nozzle. In modifications, the plug-opening is stoppered by a pin which impales a sealing pad or which is bent at its lower end so as to prevent withdrawal.
