Abstract

For the introduction of vanilla flavouring into products such as chocolate or cocoa there is employed a material obtained by incorporating aromatic vanilla oils extracted from vanilla pods in cocoa butter. The vanilla oils may be mixed into cocoa butter melted at 32 DEG C, and the mixture cooled to 20 DEG C and moulded into rods, plates or cubes. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also incorporating into cocoa butter natural vanilla or any extract or essence thereof. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
