643,219. Dielectric heating. COMMUNICATIONS PATENTS, Ltd., and DOWNING, R. K. June 4, 1948, No. 15184. [Class 39(iii)] A dielectric heating apparatus comprising two electrode plates 1, 2, between which the material to be heated is placed, is characterized in that one of the electrode plates is resiliently mounted by springs 16, 18, mounted on bolts 13 with adjusting nuts 17, so as to allow it to pivot in a universal manner about a pivot 11 in a recessed portion 10 of the electrode plate. Individual adjustment of the bolts 13 may be made in order to vary the spacing of the co-operating. faces of the electrodes.
