Abstract

642,609. Condensers. SPRAGUE ELECTRIC CO. Jan. 12, 1948, No. 945. Convention date,. Aug. 10, 1946. [Class 37] An electric condenser has wound electrodes 11, 12 of aluminium, tin, lead or lead alloy separated by dielectric material 17 consisting at least in part of a thermoplastic organic synthetic material which does not exhibit thixotropic properties under moulding conditions and which is tightly enclosed within a pressure moulded casing 18 of a thermosetting resin. The pores of the spacer, of paper or a celullose ester, may be completely filled with a polyvinyl resin, e.g. poly-N-vinyl carbazole and wire terminal leads 13, 14 are moulded in the casing which may be of phenol-formaldehyde. U.S.A. Specification 2,444,880 is referred to.
