Abstract

<PICT:0570169/IV/1> Accumulation of dust on the surfaces of sheets of transparent resinous materials used as window panes or covers, is prevented by embedding or connecting to the resinous material a conductor and providing the conductor with an earthing line which is connected to earth. The conductor may comprise a number of spaced conductors 19, 18 in electrical connection with the frame 12 and between which sheets 16 of resinous material are supported; the frame is earthed through a lead 24. The window panes may be made of natural or synthetic resins, e.g. vinyl resins or cellulose esters. Conductors may also be embedded in the panes by making grooves therein and filling the grooves with wires, metals or a conductive composition comprising white lead and lamp black or molybdenum sulphide, graphite or carbon.
