Abstract
506,033. Caps for discharge tubes. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES; Ltd., and GOODCHILD, F. D. Nov. 16, 1937, No. 31492. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XL] In a thermionic valve having a glass cap A, the copper - clad leading - in wires 2 are individually sealed in recesses 6 in the flat base of the cap. The wires may extend outside the base and be covered with brass pins to act as the terminals, these being seated in the recesses by rubber or fibre bushes; or a separate contact base may be provided, the wires being attached to terminals on the base.
