Abstract

247,260. Radions, Ltd., and Osborn, H. J. Nov. 6, 1924. Vacuum tubes. - A cap is formed with a central opening of cross or similar shape between the terminals. The arrangement allows the leads to be passed in a bunch through the opening, separated subsequently, and attached to the terminals. In the cap shown in Fig. 2 the arms a<1> of the opening extend towards the terminal pins b; or they may extend between the pins to reduce capacity, or additional slots may be so arranged. In other examples the openings are of star or quadrilateral shape. A flat a<3> may be provided to preventrolling. In the holder shown in Fig. 7 an opening has arms a<2> extending between the sockets s to reduce capacity. The cap may be of glass,. porcelain, or vulcanite.
