Abstract
501,956. Two-part couplings. SINGER MANUFACTURING CO. May 9, 1938, No. 13756. Convention date, May 7, 1937. [Class 38 (i)] The contacts of a lamp cap are faced with a hard metal such as brass. The lead-in wires 2 are drawn taut through eyelets 9 mounted flush in glass &c. 8 in the cap 5, and solder 10 is run in. The wires are then trimmed off and preformed plates 11 attached to the outer surface of the eyelets. The plates may have a flat or convex surface. The bayonet pins may be anchored in the cap by an enlargement 6a of the glass 8 moulded round them.
