[Class 73] [Also in Group XVII] A device for holding and fixing adhesive tape comprising an approximately pear-shaped box 1 provided with a bulbous nose portion 2 furnished with a lateral recess 3 adapted to receive a cutting-off blade 4, and with an upstanding guide member 5 centrally of its circular portion to support a roll of adhesive tape, has the member 5 provided with a bore 7 having a wedge-shaped opening 8 through which a pawl 10 of a body portion 9, retained in the bore, projects. A spring 11 influences the pawl 10 into contact with the inner face of a core, on which the tape is mounted, to prevent its rotation in a direction which would withdraw the tape into the device.
