[Class 42 (i)] [Also in Group XVII] In forming the seams of containers made from halogenated rubber compounds, e.g. rubber hydrochloride, units 22 having printed edges 23, 24, 25 are stacked together with the edges in alignment, and heat is applied to the edges of the stack, either by means of a hot plate 26 or by an open flame. In a modification the printing of the edges is dispensed with and interleaved sheets of paper provide the heat insulation between the units.
