[Class 17(iii)] [Also in Group XXIII] A two part detachable stud has a socket a having a flange b bevelled at f and secured to a sole or heel by screws or other fastenings passing through it in a recess c formed in its upper surface to receive a disc flange e of a stud d when the latter is screwed in position. Ribs g may be provided which may be engaged by a key when inserting the stud d. The socket a may also be externally threaded to grip the sole member but does not extend right through the sole so that the position of the socket can be altered when desired
